HAVEN
Haven is a prototype for a 3rd person adventure game set in a post-postapocalyptic world. The last survivors have retreated to a city in the sea. Only a dam seperates them from the dangers of the sea. But one of the houses threatens to collapse. In the role of Lou, a resident of the city, you meet exciting characters, solve puzzles and make tough decisions. Can you save Haven? 

The gameplay is based on decisions. Without branching the story endlessly, decision still affect the world. Lou, the main character can choose between different paths to achieve his goals - and depending on his decision he will view the world of Haven in a different light. 

The core gameplay elements are decisions, puzzles, dialogues and quick-time-events.
Constant testing of every element was a crucial part of the development.
Haven is a student project.
Different settings show the contrast between the upper class and the lower class of the world.
While talking with other characters, Lou can make decisions and get more information About the world.
Usability testing formed the game. The main puzzles and riddles were tested constantly.
Motion Capturing was used for the animation of the characters.
Cutscenes guide the player through the story.
